A national senior housing operator with communities in several states sought out The Ehlers Group to create engaging social media content for several of its senior living communities’ Facebook pages.
For communities without an established Facebook page, The Ehlers Group was responsible for the design of the page as well as adding each Facebook apps’ content and photography.
Monthly conference calls were conducted with each activity director to review the upcoming month’s calendar of events. The Ehlers Group then created 15-18 engaging and fun Facebook posts with accompanying photography (per community) which captured the communities’ spirit and vibrancy.
The Ehlers Group team served as “Administrators” for the Facebook pages, posting content and monitoring comments. In addition to the scheduled Facebook posts, The Ehlers Group uploaded post-event photos, recapping special events and outings.
Engagement for each of the communities increased significantly with residents, families and employees interacting with the page. The communities also used the page as a marketing tool, encouraging prospective residents to preview the community’s lifestyle. In fact, the marketing team at one community in California was told by a prospect that he felt he was too young to move to the retirement community. He was encouraged to visit and “like” the community’s Facebook page. Not long after, the prospect called the community to say he was ready to move in because the community seemed like a “fun place to live”.
